Brittany's Visit

So our niece Brittany came to visit for a couple of days at the beginning of July. We had a great visit with her. Kendall, Nathan and Jocelyn had a wonderful time with her. They really miss their cousins from California. Nathan was really disappointed that Tyler and Dillon were not here with their sister!! But they were having fun at scout camp.

We were able to go and do a couple of fun things while she was here. Being that I was a little over 8 months pregnant we didn't do as much as I would have liked, but we had a great time. And when we weren't out doing something we did a lot of swimming so the kids really enjoyed that.

One of our fun excursions was downtown to The Gateway. They have a really big water feature (where water shoots up through holes in the ground). The kids all had fun running around in the water. Karen and her kids came along and my mom brought Valerie's kids. Michaela and Brittany hit it off and had a great time together.

Plenty of water to get wet and cool down.
It was almost 100 degree's out that day!!

Kendall said that this one felt a little funny!

Jocelyn talked me into going in the water as well.
I have to admit that it felt very nice to cool down.

Brittany and Kendall relaxing in the sun.

Our next fun little excursion was to Wheeler Farm. This is a historical farm not too far from us. We had a good time looking at the animals. I didn't get a picture of it, but we saw a rat in the pig pen which Brittany and Kendall promptly named Templeton (from Charlottes Web).

Feeding the ducks is always a favorite for my kids.

See the miniature rooster.

We went on the wagon ride. Which my kids haven't done before.
Nathan thought it was pretty cool to get pulled around by a tractor.

Great grandpa Pew (Kyle's grandpa) came for a visit while Brittany was here. We hadn't seen him in almost a year and it had been more than 10 years since Brittany had seen him. It was a fun visit. We look forward to seeing him again after the baby is born.

Just hanging out.

I watched Simon and Jerry for a couple of hours. We unfortunately didn't get any pictures of Brittany and Aunt Keri together. But it was fun to have most of the cousins from this side of the family together. We missed Tyler, Dillon and Kylie.

Coloring, always a good pass time.

Jerry did not want to stay put. Simon tried his best,
but needed a little help from Kyle.
At least we have a picture of all of them together!!

Good-bye Brittany, we were sad when it was time for you to go.
Please come back for another visit and bring the rest of your family!!!
