December 2008

So I am finally catching up on my December 2008 Blogging. It is only a month overdue!!

These first pictures are of our visit to see Santa. We waited more than an hour, but the kids had fun. We went to city hall. Unfortunately we were late and missed the tree lighting ceremony, but we still got a picture of the kids in front of the tree. Once we were inside of the building it wasn't so bad. They had musical performances that Jocelyn just couldn't get enough of. She really enjoyed the music (much more than her visit with Santa. She is still a little shy.)

Jocelyn was very shy. Logan did smile. It was fun to see Mrs. Clause as well.

We had a decent amount of snow in December. (we almost got stuck at my parents house on Christmas because the snow was so bad, it came up to the bumper on the minivan.) These next pictures are of the first good storm that we had. We just went out into the yard in our condo complex and played. It was a lot of fun.

Logan did really well out in the snow for the first time. He
actually ended up falling asleep before I headed back inside.

Jocelyn got stuck in the snow and Kendall was a good
big sister and went to help.

In the middle of December we went with my sister Karen and her family to Energy Solutions Arena for a Christmas sing along. It was all free, provided by the owner of the Jazz. Logan and I were on the big jumbotron. All I can say is if you want to get on one of those thing take a baby along. The place was packed. The kids enjoyed the singing, the free food and sodas, and getting to see Santa. We had a great time.

We also went to see the Christmas lights at temple square. I unfortunately forgot to bring my camera. The lights were beautiful as usual. Even with tons of people the spirit you feel on the temple grounds is just amazing. Kendall asked some wonderful questions as we were watching and listening in front of the Nativity. They still use the voice of President Hinckley during one part of the narration. That was wonderful to hear. When we tried to go up and see the Christus Statue, it was just way to crowded and we couldn't hear anything. Kendall again had some wonderful questions and we have promised to take her back in the next couple of weeks when it is not so crowded.
